Leadership for The Petersburg Christian Church is provided by the Church Board.   The Church Board is made up of seven individuals.  Church Board members must be a member of the congregation and over 18 years of age. The Church Board meets monthly and invites anyone who is interested to attend. The board members are elected by congregational vote and serve a two-year term.  Elections are held annually in January, with alternating members eligible for re-election.

The Church Board is responsible for the overall operation of the church.  This includes maintenance of the physical building, finances and operational expenses including missionary support and direction for the church’s ministry.  Decisions are made by discussion, consensus and voting.

The Pastor and Youth Pastor attend Church Board meetings as ad-hoc members with no voting rights.  Minutes of the meeting are recorded and are available to any church member upon request.
